Texts and calls
How we handle texts and calls.
These are the rules autoants runs by, for itself and for every client. It's how we operate, not legal advice; for your own situation, ask a qualified professional.
Texts go only to people who asked
- Texts go only to people who contacted your business first, or who said yes to hearing from you. For any list you give us, you confirm you have that permission.
- Every text names your business and lets them reply STOP.
- STOP is permanent: one confirmation, then nothing. HELP gets your approved help line.
- No texts during quiet hours.
Registered with the carriers
Business texting has to be registered with the carriers (it's called 10DLC), and they block texts that aren't. Your business gets its own registration, under your legal name and EIN, with your written OK to text in your name. It starts the day you say yes; the review takes from a few days to about two weeks.
The AI says it's AI
- The phone receptionist says it's an AI in its first sentence, on every call.
- When an assistant talks to a customer, it says it's an assistant for your business. It won't use your voice or pretend to be you.
- Automatic messages are labeled automatic.
- Anyone who wants a person gets passed straight to you.
Recording, said out loud
If your line records calls, it says so at the start of the call. On tracking numbers, recording is off unless you turn it on, and then the caller hears the notice.
No cold texts or calls to cell phones
We don't send cold texts or make cold calls to cell phones, for you or for ourselves, and no AI ever cold-calls a consumer. autoants' own first contact with a business goes by email, mail, or in person.
Reviews: the same ask to everyone
Every customer gets the same review ask. We don't screen out unhappy customers first, and we never pay or reward anyone for a review.
Not yet: patient information
We aren't taking dental or medical offices yet, because patient information needs a HIPAA program first.
