Getting found

Get found starts with what a customer sees before they call: Google, your listings, your pages, and what AI assistants say when someone asks who to call. Here it is on a made-up HVAC shop.

1 · Where it starts

The free company breakdown

A 10–14 page look at the business from public information, every fact dated. This one is an example on a made-up shop; yours would be on your own business.

What an AI assistant says, before and after the work

Every month we ask an AI assistant (with web search on) 8 questions a homeowner asks, 3 times each: 24 answers. We count how often it names you and which sites it reads.

Before · month 1

Named in 1 of 24 answers. The shops it named most: Crescent Air (19), Bayou Comfort (14), Levee Cooling (11). All made up.

“For AC repair in Mid-City, homeowners often call Crescent Air or Bayou Comfort, which have strong reviews and list same-week service areas…”

The sites it read most: two directories the shop wasn't listed on, and other shops' service pages. The shop had no page answering the question.

The work · months 1–3
  • The same name, number and hours on 8 directories.
  • Listed on the two directories the assistant reads most.
  • 2 new pages a month, each answering one of the 8 questions in the shop's own words: “AC running but not cooling”, “AC repair in Mid-City”.
  • Google profile: real job photos and the services it actually does.
After · month 4 check

Named in 7 of 24 answers.

“…Sample Heating & Air has a Mid-City service page that lists its hours and the neighborhoods it covers…”

Made-up numbers, to show what the monthly check reports. AI answers change from day to day, and nobody can promise an assistant will name you. The check reports what it finds, up or down.

What it never does

Promises a ranking or that an AI will name you, posts a page or changes a listing without your OK, or writes fake reviews.
